"Jobs...They're Coming"

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projected that as the 77 million baby boomers that are approaching retirement will open up more opportunities to find jobs for the working class. Currently one of the fastest growing employment opportunities is in health care. The Labor Department projected a 27% increase over 2002 in nursing jobs, physician’s assistants jobs will grow by nearly 50%, and physical and occupational therapists by more than 35%. There will be a demand for these professionals as the retirees start to use these services. Other services that will be in demand are fitness trainers and dental hygienists. According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the average age federal workers has reached nearly 46 years of age and for both the Energy and the Education Departments the average age is near 50.
Do you think that the jobs that are coming will support a new generation and will the pay for those jobs allow for an equal quality of living?
