Gambling Problem

Charles Barkley and John Daly have recently admitted the losses that they have built up while gambling for fun. Barkley says he has lost around $10 million and Daly says he has lost between $50 and $60 million. This raises some serious questions for athletes and gambling. First, how many pro athletes gamble and if they do, how many gamble on their own sport and are getting away with it? Also, how much are pro athletes wasting of their salary on gambling? Barkley admits that he has enough money to be gambling and losing this kind of money. Barkley also said that he gambles just for the competition of trying to beat the casino. Are athletes having a hard time defining when competition should end?

I personally could care less who gambles and how much they gamble. Its a big publicity stunt and everyone is falling for it, hard. Barkley and Daly are merely trying to show off how much money they have made and how much they are willing to essentially throw into their own fireplace just to see which bill burns faster. I say get over yourself, John. Spare me, Charles. I'm not impressed. If your looking for the attention to get professional help then do so privately. People lose millions of dollars every day in the stock market or many other foregone costs of their various business and no one makes a big deal about it. I think that we need to take a deaf ear to these horns that everyone is tooting and worry about the millions of dollars being blown on government costs, not casinos.
