Profits Set to Soar in Outer Space

We've all heard of the possibilites of tourism in space. Some of us, I'm sure, have even imagined ourselves walking on the moon. And I'm also sure that most of us are familiar with the true Luna Park, the amusement park actually on the moon in Futurama. However, it seems like all of this might be closer than we could have thought.

At one point, our space program was all about beating the Soviets to moon. However, there were no real economic reasons to return. Now, though, it seems like space travel is going to be the up-and-coming ultimate vacation. The possibility of bringing in billions of dollars in revenue is leading an effort to invent things that would benefit civillian space travel, like a tourist carrying spacecraft. And of course, all of these inventions would have their rewards.

So, quite a few agencies, including the federal government, are shelling out dollar after dollar into reaching for this far off goal. Is this really going to be worth it?
