Textbooks are way overpriced i wish more companies worked like aplia

Why are books consistantly so expensive but the return on them so low? I have had it with the book store at MC i wont even use it, i buy my books online and I love the fact that you can have an online copy of your econ book for half the price of what the book store sells it for. I wish more books were available like that.

i disagree. it owuld make no sense for them to sell books at the bookstore and let you return them for the exact price that you bought it for. u have to remember, everything has a price!!

Yes, it would make no sense for the bookstore to buy the book back at the same price you bought it for, but the decrease in the buy-back price is ridiculous. The companies know that most college students are broke and living at the minimum. I really doubt the price to create a text book has rose so much over these few years for the companies to increase the prices and lower the buy-back prices. They need to keep their customers in mind or more of us will stop buying the hard print texts and resorting to the cheaper version via the internet.

Yes! The book price is way too high.
Aplia is a great model of online self-learning system. Not only save trees, but also fully using the resources that college provided, computer lab in each building.
Also those online practises that we can do anytime anywhere help us to review and prepare for the class.

philliprmc,
i agree with you, i think that we should get moremoney back for our books. i think its rediculous that you pay $125 for a book and only get $15 back with no writing in it or marks at all. Aplia is a good thoing and more classes shuld pick up on the concept.

I agree with the fact the when books are bought back the shape of the book should be a determining factor of how much you recieve for it. But in reality that is not the case, the only thing that matters is whether it is new or used. Aplia is a good thing if you want to do everything on the computer. I still think that hardcopies are much easier to navigate and learn from although, Aplia is a great tool.
