Yeah, but if the price of gas stays high...
I'm not sure I'll be doing as much travelling as I used to, particularly in my big SUV. Here's a mind-distracting game that's making the rounds in some parts of the blogosphere (see Yglesias): Bold the states you've been to, underline the states you've lived in and italicize the state you're in now...
Alabama / Alaska / Arizona / Arkansas / California / Colorado / Connecticut / Delaware / Florida / Georgia / Hawaii / Idaho / Illinois / Indiana / Iowa / Kansas / Kentucky / Louisiana / Maine / Maryland / Massachusetts / Michigan / Minnesota / Mississippi / Missouri / Montana / Nebraska / Nevada / New Hampshire / New Jersey / New Mexico / New York / North Carolina / North Dakota / Ohio / Oklahoma / Oregon / Pennsylvania / Rhode Island / South Carolina / South Dakota / Tennessee / Texas / Utah / Vermont / Virginia / Washington / West Virginia / Wisconsin / Wyoming / Washington D.C. /

For what it's worth, I've also visited Canada / Mexico / Germany / Belgium / France / Netherlands / England / Hong Kong (my plane touched down in Japan, but I never set foot outside).
By the way, if you think oil prices are high now, you should've seen them back in the 1970s. Check out this neat chart of the nominal and real (inflation-adjusted) price of oil.

WOW!!! I definatly didn't realize that prices use to be so high. I guess I just always thought that the price of oil was low, and all the sudden they were jumping. Hopefully, this means the price will go way back down again, as seen in previous cases shown on the chart.
